Marcelo Dimase accepts position with University of Idaho
Marcelo Dimase, a postdoc in the Nault Lab from 2024-2025, has accepted an Assistant Professor and Entomology Extension Specialist position at University of Idaho. Marcelo shares, “I lead an applied research and extension program focused on integrated pest management (IPM), insecticide resistance, and pesticide safety education. My work supports growers and stakeholders across Idaho, with a special emphasis on specialty crops.” Marcelo’s work while in the Nault lab focused on Colorado potato beetle management in potato systems and included small-plot field trials and lab-based bioassays to assess insecticide sensitivity of CPB populations collected across NY. At University of Idaho, he is already at work to find pest control solutions for specialty crop growers. Congratulations, Marcelo!
