Leo, Layton, Ollie, Nate, & Brian publish in Journal of Economic Entomology

Leo Salgado, Layton Rosen, Ollie Vetrovec, Nathan Hesler, and Brian Nault recently published an article in the Journal of Economic Entomology. The article, titled “Practical resistance to spinosad in an onion maggot (Diptera: Anthomyiidae) population in New York” documents the “first case of reduction in spinosad seed treatment efficacy in D. antiqua [onion maggot] that has practical consequences for pest control.” Results from field trials as well as laboratory bioassays are discussed.

Leo Salgado is a current PhD candidate in the Nault lab studying onion maggot. Layton Rosen participated in this project through the NYSAES Summer Scholar program. Ollie Vetrovec and Nate Hesler are current and former technicians in the Nault lab, respectively. Read the article here!
