Brian Nault

About the Principal Investigator

Brian’s interests in entomology go back as far as he can remember. As the son of retired Ohio State entomologist and professor, Lowell (Skip) Nault, and middle school science teacher, Loretta Nault, he had plenty of support to pursue a career in entomology and academia. Brian received B.S. degree in Entomology from The Ohio State University in 1988, M.S. degree in Entomology at University of Georgia in 1990 and a PhD in Entomology at North Carolina State University in 1994. During his PhD, he realized that his passion was studying insect ecology and pest management and helping growers control pests on their farms. After a brief stint as an Assistant Professor at Virginia Tech’s Eastern Shore Agricultural Research and Extension Center, he took a similar research and extension position at Cornell University’s New York Agricultural Experiment Station where he is a professor.
