Nault lab technician Ollie Vectroc recently published their work on spotted lantern fly (SLF), Lycorma delicatula, in the Journal of Economic Entomology. The paper discusses recent surveys of SLF populations conducted by Ollie and Professor Christpher Payne at Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio. Results from surveys suggest SLF has now established in regions of Ohio. Additionally, data from this survey are valuable for establishing baselines and early-invasion patterns of SLF dispersal into Ohio and eventually contributing to improved SLF dispersal modeling in Ohio, the Midwest, and the United States.
